"The formula is a thin cream that's on the drier side (so it's not thick and goopy). It's pigmented enough that one swipe across your lids gives you a pigment payoff that's already pretty opaque and shiny. Two or three layers of the stuff and you just intensify the color, making the bronze a little deeper and the metallic a little sparklier. Besides the color and the formula, I especially like Mally's Shadow Sticks because of their shape and size. Instead of a pointy crayon, the cream shadow is molded into a dome and is about the size of a No.2 pencil eraser. This makes it easy to be precise and to put the pigment exactly where you want it — all over your lid, just above your crease, along the lower lashes — but without taking forever to do so (sometimes the shadow sticks with pointier tips take a while to apply to large surface areas).

"When I started getting serious about skin care, I expanded my then three-step routine (that didn’t include sunscreen, yikes!) to nine-steps, including two serums. I’m used to seeing hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or alpha hydroxy acids in most serums, but this Sulwhasoo formula has a blend of five Korean herbs: peony, lotus, Rehmannia, Solomon’s Seal, and white lily. The ingredients work together to hydrate, brighten, and firm the skin. I’m in my early 20s so there’s not much to firm, but anything with hydration and brightening ingredients is great for my dehydrated and hyperpigmented skin. I use this serum after cleansing and toning, and it gives me a subtle glow that I love.
